Neighborhood Orchestra

Founded in the fall of 2014, Neighborhood Orchestra is a tuition-free music program open to any student in grades K through 12. All students are welcome, regardless of experience or skills level. For students with two or more years of experience, the intermediate/advanced ensemble offers an opportunity for students to continue working on developing their musicianship and performance skills in an accelerated ensemble setting. Our current beginning instrumental and ensemble offerings include, recorder ensemble, trumpet, string ensemble, and beginning chamber ensemble. Our intermediate/advanced offerings include, guitar ensemble, harp ensemble, and the intermediate/advanced ensemble. Neighborhood students have unique and exciting performance opportunities. Past performance highlights include YMF’s Community Arts Festival, the Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park’s Summer Concert Series, and the D’Addario Foundation’s Instrument Drive at the Ace Hotel.
