Scholarship Competition

About

Each year, Young Musicians Foundation awards over $40,000 to young musicians, ages 9-25, selected during four days auditions. As private music instruction continues to become more and more expensive, YMF is one of the few places to which talented young musicians can apply for financial assistance. Scholarships are available to instrumentalists through their senior year in high school, and to vocalists through age 25.

Students from as far north as Santa Barbara and as far south as San Diego auditioned for these esteemed awards. Panels of eminent professional musicians adjudicated the auditions and submitted their recommendations to YMF. Scholarships ranging from $250 to $10,000 were granted to musicians demonstrating outstanding talent and financial need.
