I currently work as a music educational consultant and am specifically looking for events for an elementary school in South Central LA. The school serves roughly 300 kids, in grades K-8. These kids are not exposed to any classical music. Does the YMF ever send representative groups (quartets, chamber groups) to perform at schools in the inner city? This would be terrific outreach for kids to see others their own age performing. The kids are extremely well behaved and open to all kinds of music. Please let me know if this would be a possibility in the next school year.
