Twelve-year-old Marc Soong has shown a keen interest in classical music since the age of three, and has won numerous piano competitions which include Los Angeles Young Musician International Competition, San Jose International Piano Competition, American Protege Piano and String Competition and others. Marc currently studies piano with Professor Daniel Pollack and Vladimir Khomyakov of USC Thornton School of Music. Marc has performed in many venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Zipper Hall in Los Angeles, and Le Petit Thiaton Theatre in San Jose. Marc loves to share his music, especially in senior centers in the San Gabriel Valley area. Marc is an 8th grader at Barnhart School in Arcadia. He also attended several programs for math and science at California Institute of Technology and participated at National Youth Leadership Forum: Explore STEM. Marc is currently a member of American MENSA. In his spare time, he likes composing, reading, and playing table tennis.
