Originally from Los Angeles, California, Julie Vreman is a clarinetist and classical saxophonist. She has completed studies in both the U.S. and abroad. While living in Lausanne, Switzerland, Julie has performed in orchestras, chamber ensembles, and wind ensembles. She was second clarinet of L’Opéra des Champs performing works by Mozart, Chabrier and others. She has also taught at L’Ecole de Musique d’Epalinges, the International School of Lausanne, L’Ecole de Musique e l’Avenir d’Yverdon-les- Bains, Le Conservatoire de la Broye and at other music schools, conservatoires and music camps in the Swiss region. She has also served as an examiner for the music exams in the Swiss canton of Vaud. Currently, Julie is a teaching artist for the Young Musician’s Foundation in Los Angeles, and teaches both clarinet and saxophone at the Vienna Music Institute in Irvine and at Playa Music Lessons in Playa del Rey. She is also an active freelancer in Orange County.
