Start your New Year on a high note with a spectacular concert with the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra, featuring conductors John Williams, Michael Tilson Thomas, Teddy Abrams, Joey Newman and Richard Kaufman. Guests will be treated to a varied and exciting repertoire, including orchestral selections from the recent film scores for The Adventures of Tintin and War Horse written and conducted by John Williams.

All proceeds from the gala benefit children and youth ages 8-25 that receive music education, scholarships, pre-professional musical training and performance opportunities. The Debut Orchestra is the flagship program of Young Musicians Foundation (YMF), and is one of the oldest and most successful pre-professional training orchestras in the country. YMF also provides music mentorship and harp instruction in the Lennox School District and classical music experiences to elementary and high school students in the greater Los Angeles area.

With the theme of ‘Celebrating the YMF Legacy’, there will be 95 musicians on stage at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion made up of 70 current Debut Orchestra members and 25 local alumni members. Ray Ushikubo, 10 year-old pianist, will be the guest soloist.

The event promises to memorable! The music will be exhilarating, the setting simply stunning and the cuisine, outstanding.
