Caroline Campos holds a Bachelor degree in violin performance from Universidade Federal da Paraiba (UFPB), Brazil. She has played in some professional orchestras in Brazil as ORSSE (Symphony Orchestra of Sergipe State), OSBA (Symphony Orchestra of Bahia State), OSPB (Symphony Orchestra of Paraiba State), among others. Carol started her teaching career in private studio and music schools in 2008. In 2010 she spent one year in Ireland to learn about Irish Folk Music, there she had the opportunity to play with two different Orchestras: DSO (Dublin Symphony Orchestra), and UCDO (University College of Dublin). Back in Brazil started to work with El Sistema inspired programs and since then has been involved and dedicated to teaching music in social projects. She has working as coordinator and string specialist at PRIMA Program (Program of social inclusion thought Music and Arts). PRIMA is a music program in public schools that makes music accessible to hundreds of underprivileged children in her hometown, Paraiba State, Brazil. Ms. Campos was also the Chair of the Strings department and General Coordinator in NEOJIBA (Nucleus of Youth Orchestras of Bahia) one of the most important brazilian El Sistema based program in Trancoso, Bahia (Brazil).
In 2014, Caroline came to United States to pursue an Artist Certificate Program in Violin Performance at Azusa Pacific University to study violin performance under the guidance of LA Phil violinist, Ingrid Chun, in addition recently she finished her Master degree at as Longy School of Music of Bard College. In addition to performing with some orchestras around LA area she also has performed at Disney California Adventure. Continuing her work with El Sistema inspired programs in USA, since 2015 she works as Upper String Teaching Artist in YOLA Program (Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles) and teaches private studio. Caroline is very enthusiastic teacher, she believes in the power of music education as a vehicle of life transformation and as the best way to bring people together.
