Alexander Agate, 21, is currently a senior at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) as a piano performance major where he studies under Professor Dmitry Rachmanov Recent achievements include first runner-up at the California State level 2015 MTNA and winner of the CSUN concerto competition in December 2014. As a result of winning the 2014 Parness Concerto Competition, he will perform Prokofiev's first piano concerto in December 2015 with the Culver City Symphony Orchestra. Earlier this year, he was a laureate of the 9th National Chopin Competition. He has had master classes with pianists that include John Perry, Norman Krieger, Jerome Lowenthal, Victor Rosenbaum, Wojciech Kocyan, Nina Lulchek, Boris Slutsky, and Andre-Michel Schub.
