JARED A. SAYEG (Lighting Design) splits his time between Los Angeles & New York where he illuminates theatre, opera, musicals, ballet, themed attractions, exhibits and architectural installations which have been seen throughout the US as well as in Scotland, London, Spain, Las Vegas, Broadway & Off-Broadway. Recent projects include: The Who’s Tommy (Ricardo Montalban Theatre) Rolling with Laughter (LA & London West-End) Educating Rita & Trying at the Colony Theatre, (Ovation Nomination), Songs For a New World, Bright Ideas, Facing East (International City Theatre), I Capture the Castle, & Eric Idle’s RutleMania (LA & NY). On Broadway Jared designed Bravo Bernstein! (Hudson Theatre) and Gotham Glory at Carnegie Hall. He was also part of the design team for the Broadway transfer of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman in White (Marquis Theatre), & PRIMO (Music Box Theatre), as well the 2003 Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Off-Broadway projects include: Humble Boy, FAME, Nobody Don’t Like Yogi, and Ministry of Progress. Jared designed the 30th anniversary tour of A Chorus Line and the musical Shag with a Twist at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. For three seasons Jared was in residence with LA Opera where he was part of numerous productions including Julie Taymore’s The Flying Dutchman and Queen of Spades (LA & Madrid). Other design affiliations include, the NBA Basketball Hall of Fame Exhibit, creating the new court lighting for the LA Lakers at the Staples Center, the Neil Diamond 2008-2009 world tour and recently had the honor of lighting Pope Benedict XVI for the Papal Youth Rally in NYC. His architectural designs can be seen regularly in various restaurants and lounges as well as the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific.
